Zetabid To Auction 60 Foreclosed Homes In Central and South Florida
Many First-Time Homebuyers Expected As Government Incentives Set To Expire

MIAMI - October 7, 2009 -  Zetabid, the pioneering firm redefining home auctions in the U.S., today announced it will auction approximately 60 bank-owned Florida homes on Thursday, October 15 in Orlando and Saturday, October 17, 2009 in Miami.

In Orlando, Zetabid is auctioning single-family, multi-family homes, and condominiums ranging from $22,000 to $255,000. The properties are located in central Florida from coast-to-coast, with most of the homes located in Orlando, Tampa Bay, Daytona Beach, Ocala, Spring Hill, Winter Haven and Kissimmee. The auction will be held at The Peabody Orlando Hotel.  Registration starts at 5:00 p.m. and bidding begins at 6:30 p.m.

In Miami, Zetabid is auctioning single-family, multi-family homes, and condominiums ranging from $17,000 to $200,000. Most of the properties are in Miami, Fort Myers, Hollywood, Lehigh Acres, Coral Springs, and Oakland Park. The auction will be held at the Miami Beach Convention Center. Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. and bidding begins at 10 a.m.

“Across Florida, there are still many terrific deals, but time is running out for first-time homebuyers to take advantage of the federal government’s financial incentives that expire next month,” said Bob Bellack, Chairman of Zetabid. “AWith residential real estate prices starting to rise, purchasing a home at a Zetabid bank-owned auction still remains one of the best ways to get a great deal on a great property.”

The federal government is currently offering a tax credit of up to $8,000 to qualifying taxpayers who buy a home in 2009.  However, that program is set to expire on November 30, 2009. More information about the program is available at http://www.treas.gov/press/releases/tg39.htm.

The Orlando and Miami auctions are Zetabid’s third in Florida in 2009. In January and April, Zetabid sold properties at 30% to 40% less than the price at the peak of the housing market. In the past year, Zetabid has sold more than 1,000 bank-owned properties across the country.

For the Florida auctions, buyers can bid in person at the designated location or via Zetabid’s worldwide Internet simulcast. Buyers can also bring their real estate agent to the auction event. Additionally, buyers can place an offer on a property before the auction by using the ‘Buy It Now’ form at www.zetabid.com

Zetabid encourages buyers to view homes with a listing agent during its open house weekend, October 10 and 11 from noon to 4 p.m., or by appointment. Zetabid urges prospective buyers to carefully inspect properties before bidding.
